As a follow up to learning about stop-motion, I scripted a video that the girls could animate. Everyone helped bring props and the girls each took turns animating different objects. They were so excited about the end result. It's fun to have something to show for your work at the end of the day. The video takes illustrates our theme for the year of "Peace in Christ."

Youth Group Stop-Motion
Currently I am a leader in my church young women's group. We had an opportunity to visit the Laika exhibit at the Portland Museum of Art a few weeks ago. A couple of members of our church work for Laika and one arranged for the head of the puppetry department to guide us through the exhibit. It was incredible to take in the details that go into making films animated with puppets like Coraline, Kubo and Paranorman.
